Also 41 and rain here. Of course it doesn't matter what I hope for. We're gonna get what we get. BUT maybe around Lansing this rain will take out the skimpy ice we had, whatever snow we get lands on open water, then the nice cold temperatures come in next week and make beautiful ice! Might as well hope, cause we can't fish yet!

31 here currently wind about 5 mph around half inch snow. The rain was .39" before snow started

27* and windy. Received about 1/2"of snow after 1/2" of rain, we got lucky. Temps (theoretically)going to drop and stay down this week, maybe this coming weekend we can get out but not going to hold my breath until it happens. Advanced weather reports haven't been right in seemingly years, we got lucky but they actually missed on this one locally which is fine for now

My neighbor (87 years old) stopped by yesterday with a bucketful of big bluegills......so there is ice somewhere. Guess I am going to have to keep an eye on him!

13* which is good. Problem is 1"-3" of snow over night and a projected 5"-8" for tomorrow. Have a spotty reasonable skim on a couple small waters I checked, but that's a lot of potential weight/insulation on not very much ice

Just checked a couple local lakes, about 4" snow on them and don't seem to be blowing off, ice was shaky, but some guys out!!

I got out on a few small ponds today here in lansing. Two had 2 1/2 inches with some slop on top. And another had three inches of solid/honeycomb mix with 3-4 inches of snow on top.Didn't catch much but it was great to finally get out.

17 degrees but not making any ice.went to miner lake today got out about 5 yards and fell thru up to my knees.all this snow is rotting the ice.there was about 2 inches of slush ice with to much snow on top.we need a melt down and start over in Allegan co.its not going to matter how cold it get with a big insulation snow blanket on top of piddly ice.

10* but supposed to steadily rise to above freezing over the next couple of days. Local ice is somewhat of a mess at the moment with the snow on top, not going to take the risk of even considering it. With the small amount of rain coming for Friday we're screwed for a little longer
