hey guys im not a nepa guy but if im allowed to join id show at prompton any day but saturdays could be an issue at least not ill late in the day sometimes i have to work ot on saturday mornings

Anyone who want to show up is more than welcome. The only reason I named this thread NEPA Get Together because of our geographic location and draw the attention to people who live in this area if they're interested in going. Nothing is set yet and trying to figure out the details of when, where, and what time. Just because someone isn't from NEPA or can't make it early certainly doesn't mean they can't come. I work midnights and won't be able to show up until around 9Am or 10AM depending on where we're going. Feel free to show up and bring your friends if you want, everyone is welcome.

Hey I was just reading the other pocono lake thread and thought why not have a gathering at Lacawana state park and fish the afternoon into the evening for crappies???

Lsp is a great lake for a get together. Plenty of parking, plenty of room on the ice, and some good fishing

For any guys more south we can throw one at beltzville if it freezes if anyone is interested

awesome guys thanks and depending on the when and where and if i have to work i could be there anytime between sunrise and 3 coming up from philly area but ill fish all night if i can once i get there

Fastribs85, We'd be happy to have you and your friends come out.

I'm trying to get everyone to make a list of places we want to go. After that get everyone's in put on what dates. In my opinopon it's a group trip so let the majority decide on when and on what dates.

you know it would not be a bad Idea to think about making Bigbuck325's fishing tournaments a fishing destination. he is having one on Lake Jean an then one on Long Pond. I am planning on going to both of them. one is on the 6th i think of January with a not safe ice date of a week later.

I"m not sure how to get to Long Pond but I know Lake Jean is about a hour or two away. I'm probablly not going to be able to make that one but the Long Pond one is a possibility depending on what time it starts since I work until 8AM and by the time I get home it's around 9AM or so.

State Park is right off I-81 and has pretty much everything from gills, trout, perch, bullhead, pickerel, even muskies...off the Scott exit....199 I think

ok thanks ill have to do some research i guess still trying to figure out the eyes and perch at prompton found gills and crappies even saved the locations before on the gps

i manage a few eyes every year threw the ice at prompton. i was at the spillway on sunday with my boys and got a few.

topher is right, just about everything in LSP, also very nice bass and some decent crappies, caught a beauty rainbow on late ice a few years ago. Does anyone know the regs for fishing at night there? I've been on at night but not too much past sundown.

Should we set the date for Saturday, January 19th ? Big Buck's tourneys is the 20th on Long Pond....the other Mid January Saturday is the 12th...I know I can make it the 19th...

i have fished it till 11.00 pm on more than 1 occasion.never was bothered. im not sure of regulations. i have caught. callicos, trout and bullheads on the ice atLSP. after dark..i didnt make it there last year because of the lack of ice .i only fished wayne county waters.

We had our gathering today here in the west at Moraine State Park. Hope yours goes as fantastic as ours.
we have one guy (parks Guy ) who sets a date , and that's it, no negotiation if you can come great it makes it a lot easier it seems to make it that way . been having it for three years and have grown to 20 showin up with enough food for 40. Good luck
