It's definitely low. I stopped on the Ventura marsh grade yesterday. The water is about 20" below the flow over boards. I talked to the DNR. He said they ran out of water last year trying to dredge a channel in the marsh so they can drain it perodically to keep the carp population down. The water must of been low enough to kill the carp. There's hundreds of dead carp frozen in the ice. It's gonna get pretty smelly when it warms up next week. It looks like by the end of next week the big lake will be all open. Eagles-Eagles-Eagles Everywhere. More Eagles than you can shake a stick at!That's what Ventura Marsh looked like about 4:30 today. Counted 51 or 52 on the ice + about 15 in 1 tree and 10 or so in another on the southside. They will sure help get rid of the dead carp. hope for a slow melt so they can eat more
