I use Sabre at 32:1 or 40:1 in everything aircooled. My 100:1 Yamaha gets Sabre outboard at 75:1, the mechanic recommended running a little more oil than 100:1.
This is against amsoil recommendations. If you are going to mix it up thick, go get the cheap stuff. If you mix at 80:1, there will be less smoke and more power. Amsoil reccomends 100:1 in everything, I thought I was a worry wart mixing 80:1!A few IS members have called amsoil and spoke with an engineer. The best I can explain is that there is more lube in Amsoil mixed at 100:1 than other oils can offer at any mix!
Ive been running 50:1 amsoil saber professional in my new Strikemaster Lazer Mag Xpress and i will say that i have actually been having some oil coming out of the muffler and a little bit of smoke coming out. It isnt nearly as bad as when i was running strikemaster oil at 24:1 but there is still some coming out. I figure next year when i mix a new batch up i might run it at 70:1 or so and then see if i still have the same problem.
