I think we will be setting tilts early and not worrying about first/biggest fish as Shay and I will be handing out Peppermint paddies at sunrise....and I know Ron will be standing next to me/us toasting his big pike.... ;)

my chowder should be ready by 8am.... ;D

Unoman, couldn't make it last year but will be up with Jeeps and Russell.  I heard all about the Peppermint Paddies.  Nothing like a nice Bull full of chowder to start the day.   ::)

I know this may be a dumb question but is this gathering open to all shanty folk? I saw capt shays list at the top of the thread with the food list and I would love to try and get out there to meet everyone, I am 2hrs out and may have to work but it would be great to put some names to some faces... from my brother the weatherman in kansas...

Anyway about the weather on Saturday...it looks like a very good chance for snow Friday that could mix with or change over to some sleet, freezing rain or rain late in the day..depending on the track the surface low takes.  Accumulations this far out look to be in the 2-4" range.  Could be more if the low level cold air holds in place longer over western MA.  But it looks like that by Saturday morning,...the storm should have moved away with some clearing.  It does not look like it will be too cold following this storm on Saturday with temperatures getting into the middle to upper 30s.  A west wind of 10 to 20 mph may add some chill, though.  I can update this on Wednesday.

I am going to bring a small wood stove so if some of you can PLEASE bring some fire wood nothing to big though, that would be great. Nothing like having a fire on the ice while sitting around shooting the breeze. See you guys Saturday.
