Get a map and look for 50 + feet of water. Good places to go out of are Million dollar beach, Vetrans park in the village, vetrans beach in Bolton landing. You'll have to do a little leg work but it is worth it. good luck.

If the hill going down is passable. You should try hearthstone campsite, it's close and easy, doesn't have many big fish, but you'll be able to hook a few. Use tip-ips there.

Yea the campground is fun, We almost slid off the road there over a small cliff. You're better off going to bolton landing and fishing in front of the sagamore.

I have fish the campsite and done really well with the lakers in about 40 to 50 feet of water. When the action is slow with the lakers you can usually do really well with the perch in the bay but you have to watch for the bubblers. I have even slammed a few lakers there fishing for perch.
ALRIGHT ALRIGHT!!

If you go out a couple hundred yards it is 120 feet deep there.

Here's a link about the road conditions there. It is not always plowed or iced so you have to take your own chances, especially if it snows while you're there.

Just wanted to say that Hearthstone has been good to my brother inlaw and I the past couple of days. We pulled in ten lakers in two days with six of them being keepers from 23.5 to 27 inches. They have been on tip-ups some a foot off the bottom and a 25 incher today 5 feet under the ice while I was setting up my tip-up.That was fun. Not much in the perch category.

Harris Bay is always a good bet, or Dunhams Bay for perch.  Even off Million dollar beach.  Right in the village

Is there any place to park in Dunham's bay. Or should I park off milliondollar beach and take the quad. I just purchased a vexilar and want to try to see if I can make it work.

Is there enough ice off vets park for a four wheeler. How have they been hitting the perch. What depth are they usually around.I bought a new vexilar I have never used one before. So I am going to give it a try.

Try a Swedish Pimple the size of your  middle finger. Tip it with a minnow.

Good luck.

Fished Vets this morning with my wife. Better than last week but still a bit slow for us on the perch. My wife jigged up a 17" large mouth bass so she was excited. My highlight of the day was when a school of perch swam through and I had 4 flags withing 15 seconds talk about running. Anyways any day you can be on the ice is a good one and I'll be back up there on Monday. Good luck everyone.

Wrong place to ask, but it was last weekend anyway.
