Seemed like you guys hung in there and got some fish. Congrats to Tomcatoak on that nice walleye. Capt. technically there was a pike that was caught.
Cool with the videos. When I figure out how to I'll add some. Pike trip coming up this weekend on Champlain. Hopefully get a vid of a monsta on the Nor easter
Jeff, you can sign me up for next season!. Would be a blast and make an excellent video.Give me a call with the specifics when you know.
Awesome video! Doesn't do the wind justice though! That was brutal!Good time!
I had to bring my auger inside to thaw it off last night. There was globs of weeds frozen to the spiral!I was only there one hour and had to leave, had to tend to freeze up and no heat calls. Took me two hours to get there.I'm bringing a garden rake next time to clear my own spot to fish in the weeds!
Chris it took me about 3 or 4 years to finally catch up with Mark ( F.R.E.D ) on the ice. Looks like its going down that road to meet up with you LOL. I was out in the middle of the cove. Didnt make it in to the sheltered cove until about 10am. You must have been gone.
Jeff was that you with the aquaview and the blue suits. I was the guy on the outskirts of everyone drilling away thinking I would find 8' of water somewhere, never happened. Finally ended up in the middle almost next to the white hardside, got three traps in and had to take off. One of these days Jeff, ice, salt or sweet water.
Yes that was us, We were wondering what you were doing That was a hell of a walkabout
I remember searching for depth myself. I did mark it on Navionics where I found a decent depth. And where the pike was caught.
You guys have to remember there can be a "tide" at the cove. What Amy be 6 feet in the AM can be 3 feet in just a few hours if the dam is open.
Could hear the water level dropping loud and clear from 4am until about 8am. It made quite a difference.
That is when people turn up the heat, cook lots of food (coffee makers), and take lots showers (hot water) and they let the water out through the canal and down through the turbines...
