Please check the thickness yourself and stay away from the heaves

Yes, most definitely still check thickness, as it can vary, especially at the heaves, and there is one by Loney's

Does anyone have a map showing some access points to the lake to walk or drive on.  I've never been there before and would like to hit it up this weekend.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

Just get a highway map.  Access at the Provincial Park and into Sun Valley(go left to Loney's) and Buffalo View are not that hard to find and very accessible....come down in the daylight and it is all easy to find.  Best access is on Moose Jaw side of the lake.

Went straight out from loneys. Lots of ice. Got 3 1.25 lb perch and threw so many back I lost count. At times there were so many fish between my camera and hole I couldn't see the hook. Good times for my 5 year old. He was bouncing.

Was out early yesterday near Sandpoint, usual Buffalo Pound, caught about twenty to keep 10.  Only perch action and used lots of holes.

we were on the other side of the lake we were just off the sand point maybe 30-40 yards the perch were hitting but thats all we got then headed west down the lake and about 100 yrds from shore and hitting there to lol.  I was told not to use worms but thats all we could get and they took them. once we started to fillet them the stomachs were empty so they were hungry we got there around 10am prob try again this sunday

Any action during this last bit of colder weather?  Did okay last Friday, again near Sandpoint.

Did some fishing out and to the west of Loney's Point.  18" of ice, 12 ft of water.   Pulled up 3 small perch, kept 1.    Lots of nibbles but no hard takers.  Someone else mentioned it here but the one perch I did keep had an empty stomach so they're probably hungry.

Caught a 36" pike by the provincial park yesterday.  Also caught 12-13 perch, kept 8.  I'll try and figure out how to post a pic.

Braved the cold and was out yesterday, east of loneys. Lots of perch. Great for kids. Sons girlfriend caught a 32 inch pike.

Good to know Im heading out tomorrow morn be out around 10 and spend the day. so just East of Parkview is this area still hitting. I will prob hit the sand barge and then head to the other side from there.  How busy is the lake during the week or is it quiet not to many people.

I was out on Saturday just east of Parkview and it was slow.  Lots of perch and the odd pike on camera, but they just weren't biting.  I think between two of us we caught 10-12 perch in about 5 hours, but only brought 3 home.

What sand barge are you talking about?  By the provincial park campground shoreline?
