Just got a early report!! Release got a limit

He said he didn't want a stupid Attaboy certificate.
So we got him an Attaboy harmonica!!

So he can toot his own horn

Got some pictures from the lake today sent via text while at my office.
Figures. Slammed the perch. Figured it would happen, not to sunny.this morning, good barometer, better weather.
Figure out how to overcome the chocolate milk slay the fish

Enjoyed the last few days of the season amidst some great company fishing for flats man I forgot how much fun it is, first few days I sat a little to close to release talk about a real prick, now fillet was nice enough to get in my head and screw me all up

but little did he know I was just shaking the rust off and it was a good day today to run the fine tuned tactics just in time for me to call it a year on the hard water.

Drove out of apps again today, ice was hard in am then it really came un glued, especially where theres color, ice varied as I walked the humps, drops and flats, anywhere from as little as 12 inches black on humps too 17 inches black on the flats with varying levels of white ice on that,.. top 5 inches turned too corn and lost 2 inches off the bottom. Ice that had been 24" 3 days ago is now averaging around 14 inches of good ice... Shorelineline really melted today, lots of water, I'm up in the air wheather were gonna take a machine on it from Cleveland tomorrow or walk somewhere. Perch bite was hit and miss, light bite again...did some walkin around and grabbed 27 jumbos.

fished this afternoon at short point. ended up with 30 gills, and no crappies.

the first hole i cut after walking across the bay from aero marina was 8 yes 8 turns of the auger

. the hair on my arse stood up !! I got out of that area real quick. I moved up with deadeyes, and perchchaser. the ice was alittle better. 17 turns through 18" of ice. I'm done on the hardwater this year. it was a fantastic year !!!

Well I kept up with him for most of the day .... Then he cut me 3 holes and said come on over here buddy .... and that was the death nail .... Ended up with 17 he go me by 10 ... Deceivingly a cold ass day ....

Shore is going fast ..... I am really getting into this little rig fineness jigging .... Can't wait for a good catching day.

Walked out of the north shore today and had a mixed bag of perch , pickerel and walleyes, which took a liking to my perch set up.I'mgoing to try that set up on the eyes next season when they go into a funk.No jumbo perch where i was, but lots of eyes in 3 places i was looking for perch.Breezy cool air and the top 2 to3 inches was corn , sno cone ice making for lousy walking....tiring, like walking on a sandy beach in waders .40 turns on the nils and 20 inches total. Shoreline is shot in many places.Wanted to be out by you guys Snag, but didn't want to run out there from where my sled is parked.
Might go back out where I was today, or hit the river tomorrow.. Keep thinking how long it'sgonna be til next ice season....10 months. Gotta getout a few more times.

Be careful out there today guys. The shallow panfish bays are deteriorating fast! Saw some shorelines that were there in the morn but gone in the afternoon. Gonna b even worse today. Stay safe!

Finished up the Oneida Lake ice fishing season yesterday with some great friends, huge sunfish, bluegills and a few crappies !
RedWolfUSA, Tim Dog (BOI), Walleye1, Hood, Fillet & Release and the fish Gods that graced us with an almost perfect day to end the season ! Ice was getting real ugly ! Some spots that were 18 inches a day earlier were 5 to 7 inches

Could easily dig down 4 to 5 inches with you boot yesterday.
Time to regroup, reorganize, and pack away ice gear. Tomorrow start that open water season !
