Smith Wesson First Response - one handed opening, Stainless Spear Point Blade, Serrated Cutting area  + integrated --> Seatbelt Cutter, Window Breaker

it's built quite well and resultantly it's held up very well + consistently remains very sharp / holds a good edge

Feels naked if I don't have a knife on me.
Spyder co! Great blade. Plenty strong. Used to carry a leatherman but never needed the plyer. Fish are always lip hooked. ;D
Clips into by pant pocket, nothing hanging on to get caught on stuff..

Spyderco and nothing else. Depends on the day which model, but when icefishing I usually carry the more inexpensive Tenacious model (around $35) just in case it jumps down a hole! Spydies are the sharpest knives money can buy, and one of the best made, too!

Mora... Crazy sharp, easy to sharpen, holds and edge like nothing else, cheap as dirt!

The rubber handled "companion" models are only $12 and they ROCK.

Carry 2 gerber folders.... 2.5" blade and 3.5 blade..... Both are always razor sharp...3.5" has 1/2 serrated for cutting ropes and bigger jobs..... Little one used for small all around chores..... When in the field I always carry my mulay 5" skinner and an old style tomahawk in my pack for emergencies and big chores....

I carry an Al Mar Sere MS2K (VG10 blade steel) in my pocket always. When hunting, fishing or hiking I carry An Al Mar Sere Operator (sawback w VG10 blade steel). My game knife is a Buck Crosslock, have gutted and skinned alot of deer, squirrel and rabbits with it. I retired my fillet knives for a Mister Twister Pirahna electric. I collect Case, Remington, and some of the older USA made knives such as Camillus, Schrade, Kershaw, etc

I have been stuck on Mora's for more than 50 years. The name tells it all. No better steel made.  Inexpensive quality knife. Loose to many knifes to buy expensive ones that are no better than a Mora in the first place.

Can't go wrong with a Spyderco for general all-purpose use.
As far as a fillet knife, I got an awesome one-of-a-kind custom made Damascus filet knife/sheath built by friend & shanty member Jim Rodebaugh!
(sorry the pics so big, wanted to show the detail)
