Peanuts in the shell.  The discarded hulls thrown in the lake of water in front of the buddy heater provides for traction.

Collapsible milk crate, takes up almost no room in the sled and is great to set heater, vex or countless other things on and keep out of the slush and wet.

Chisel/hammer, flat side used to break my flipover's skirt from the ice if it freezes down and the sharp side to chip a pilot hole for my pita Clam Ice anchors. Also worth mentioning are plastic grocery bags to carry trash and fish back to the truck.

A collapsible mountaineering shovel. Light weight and even when there isn't snow, I can use it as a cutting board, cheese board, flat spot to hold the camp stove, etc. And it even works pretty good to shovel snow.
Quote- fishslap: I use a variety:  whistlin' bungholes, spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser

  • Tight Lines!
I would not call them must have, but "like to have"; Binoculars. I first started carrying them so I could see if I had a frag if I was jigging to far away... Now I stay closer, but love to have them for the wildlife, so I can wave to game warden when he is looking at me with his, see what  and how big my buddies fish really is, take a look at who is looking in my vehicle and any thing else that might be interesting...
