MyFishFinder.com Just like iceshanty but warmer
The thickness varied caus i was fine walking on it for 10 minutes till it broke. I would guess close to 2 inches. Hand was cut in a few places with the skin peeling off in one spot but i didnt even feel it get cut and noticed the blood afterward.
360lbs and 2" of ice does not usually end well. Glad you got out ok, but you are 200lbs more than me and I still have major pucker on 2" of ice. Might want to wait for a couple more inches!!
Where was your spud, rope, and ice picks?
No worries your balls will drop back to normal.[/quotelol
glad your ok man i fall thru every year last two years it was on last ice but have fallen thru first ice many times also and it hurts when people say its razor sharp they are very right cuts into skin like a knife.btw never fallen thru over my head i am gutsy not dumb i never venture out past five feet till there is three+ inches of good ice. ice picks are the one of the best inventions ever make getting out much easier always. if your gonna be dumb this time of year where a life jacket plz.
I went through last year on 2" of ice in 12' of water. Fortunately I had a PFD as well as screwdrivers. Afterwards, I was informed that if you need those items to go icefishing, then perhaps you shouldn't be ice fishing! I'm a litle more cautious this year!
Yeh my balls are back in standard position now. Btw i am 306lb not 360lb (you kinds dont give a **** after a certain point). "btw never fallen thru over my head i am gutsy not dumb i never venture out past five feet till there is three+ inches of good ice"Yeh i am the same way. I dont mind getting wet but not over my head. Hand is healing up well and i will be out there tommorow again with my gear this time fishing. I think the last few days made the ice over the shallows safe enogh. Will report back l8r.
Don't forget that even if you are in five feet of water there can be three feet of mud and or muck on the bottom. Stay safe
