want to hear a great story?
« on: Jan 29, 2011, 05:35 PM »
Fished today with my two friends big sandy in plymouth. We arrive on a public access at 630 set are traps up drill 15 holes and our day begins. A man comes down with a snowblower out of nowhere and begins to plow the snow on the ice. He comes over to us and says if my kid trips on your trap i am going to sue you. I said alright man whatever its not your property you dont own the water but we will move. He continues to snow blow all over are traps and gear that we are picking up and at this point I am fuming. I've learned in the past to just walk away. The breaking point came when he ran over my friends trap and broke his snow blower. He then said he was calling the police because he broke his snow blower so I called the police. The epo, local police and state troopers came. They were fantastic. They got the man to pay for the trap they hit him for a a hunter and fisher harrasment fine of 500 dollars and assault spraying snow on us. The police officer called an hour later to apologize for the inconvenience and to tell us we did the right thing. There are some good people in this world. Just letting you all know if you respect the ponds and lakes and are mature in a situation such as this one good things come out in the end. Hope everyone is having a safe season see yaaa all at the nip saturday

over and out,

Karma strikes again. Good for you keeping your cool and calling the police. I think the fines will hurt him and if the papers print arrests like they do here, the humiliation will get him too.

after he ran the trap over I might of snapped at that point good job. About time they got what was coming to them why do people have to be like that. PS you can take a right on red and stop driving slower then the speed limit wow that felt better.

:roflmao: moron  But thats the problem with all these houses that have been built around these ponds. They all think they own the ponds. Now if the guy came out and said " hey my kids like to skate out here and im going to snowblow this area" I wouldmove over no problem. I've had a guy that lives on Chauncy in Norton ask me not to drill holes by his house because they like to skate. I'm fine with that and have talked quite a bit with him, hes a nice guy. I'd tell anyone else who went there not to put holes in that area as well.

Good job by the cops maybe this moron learned a lesson or not

GOOD FOR YOU AND FOR ALL OF US! Must have been tough to keep your cool under those circumstances. Kudos to law enforcement for making things right. Well done.

X2  Perhaps this guy has called 'wolf' enough times to the law enforcement folks that they were happy to get a call from the other side.....interesting that 3 different agencies showed up and it sounds like citations written for everything possible in this situation....perhaps they were happy to do it!!

Good job!

So if he denies the citations, and goes to court, do you have to go testify against him, or is that the lawmens' obligation?
