yeah 2 1/4 miles from martins to marr point, gonna be a long haul out there, as I also dont have a snowmobile or atv. Im working on some nearby parking at a friends parents house, for myself.

Can I register somone else Friday? Buddy is meetin us sat morning on the ice. Wanted to make it easier so he aint got to run around in the morning.

At the Derby Office on the ice from 10 am Friday till 9am Saturday ill be there the whole time

Just got back from a tour of the lake.

This the best info I can give....
There is some parking on the beach area, but not nearly enough for what we might need, so I would plan on being early.
Nasons beach is posted and gated, also, this is where the truck went in, so I doubt it's safe anyway.
All of Marrs Point Rd. is posted, and most the rd by the lake is only 1 truck width, si I'm guessing you wouldn't want to park there, even to just unload.
The couple places we checked, there was 10-12" of snow, and NO slush. A bigger wheeler would probably be ok, but a sled woul;d be better.

Gonna have a couple of trucks with trailers to park and it dont sound promising anywhere around the lake.

Hi Guys... first post on this site.

I've read as much as I could find on this site concerning the Tourny this Saterday. This will be my first visit with my two sons. From what I understand.... the ice is not safe to drive on, there is limited parking at best, most parking areas used in the past are shut-off, and your expecting a big turn-out. (Which is great for a good cause).

How can an event like this be planned without the for-thought of public parking and lake access? Is there a map that can be provided of places to park?

That was last years thread. Should be plenty of parking on the ice where HQ is. Can park at the boat launch too, but I'll bet that fills up fast.

I'm In!!! Had a Blast last year caught my first pike through the ice, Oh and caught/stole Tiny's Line and his fish from about 30 yards away hahaha! Good Times With Great people and for a great cause....Good work you guys!

Just left derby HQ. Jay will be there from now until it's over. They are in a trailer on the south shore, right along rt 126. I imagine they will be up early (if they get any sleep at all)
