Anyone interested in a Anchorage area get together?
« on: Oct 12, 2010, 04:42 PM »
Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Coffee somewhere, meet at one of the lakes, dinner? It is nice to know who is around. Maybe even open up carpooling etc to save a buck so we can fish more.

Sounds good to me.  I think the carpool thing is a great idea.
I was born an Alaskan I just didn't live here at the time.

I'm in, I have 2 or 3 other guys that would come. We plan on having an ice shack out on lake louise this year. I fish every weekend, mostly Louise.

Louise is getting pretty crowded....;)

Sounds like we need a date/time/place/agenda and some fancy name tags (not).

How many from the valley?

Right now I am free 24/7.

Far be it from me to point fingers!

Do you know what they find in the ball pit! EWWWWW!!!! I watched a kid go in with a stinky diaper on with evidence coming out the back. He came out without a diaper on..... he was like 3 or 4. Do the math.

Mabey we could all meet in the middle so the valley guys don't have to drive all the way into Anchorage.

Any ideas for lakes to fish??  Big, finger, matanuska, otter, beer can, sand are decent lakes with good access. I've looked at the stocking reports for sand lake and F&G has been pumping in fish.

Rarely, do I fish the local hangouts. Too many people, too many problems. A trip to one of my favorites on the back of the base is very possible. That is about the closest that I go and I have not been there in years.

Off to the lake to chase caribou.

Why not do something on the ice? I got enough by my place to handle it. or we just do a long weekend at mikes place and get that damn cabin done so we ALL have a place to stay...Im prolly in regardless of where its at unless im fishin. which maybe come next week if the roads clear enough to haul the shack up geez it looks even bigger on the damn trailer..

Did you get a permit for it yet? I wouldn't be on the lake quite yet. It just started making ice in the last week and the temps are still above zero.

Remember to take into account the whitefish netting. It threw all my fishing spots off this summer. No whitefish = no lakers.
