Shorelunch org. or the Shorelunch beerbatter    I have tried it all like everyone else.  sometimes the old  egg and milk  ,  dip the fish in flour.  Pan fry in oil.   I ate them that way for a long time.  Its all good!!!

Outdoor frying is the way to go, keeps the house less smelly. No grease splatter in the kitchen.  But not in winter! I fry indoors.

I also use Uncle Al's fin and fowl mix. It was originated right here in Osceola.   Been using it longer than I can remember.  I like to use mine dry with a light coat and not a wet batter.  I like to taste the fish and not the batter.    I have tried Drake's, Andy's, Zateran, Shore lunch, and a few more and keep going back to Uncle Al's.

That's exactly what I do with the Uncle Al's...no wet batter, just a light coating of the stuff is perfect.  Sometimes you need to add a little salt, but man that is good stuff.  Everytime I fry it up people LOVE it!

Slabslammer,...............Seeing your from Ohio, I don't know where you can get it there.  The closest place to me to get it is Lunkers in Edwardsburg Michigan.   You can also order it online.  Go to unclealsfrymix.com.  Hope this helps.
Fisherman's Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
          Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
       I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
           And peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be Judged
              BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

I use Chuck Wagon onion ring mix for my panfish. Mix aliitle garlic salt in. No gritty feel in the batter. I do prefer a wet batter. I am gonna seek out this ANDYS though in leau of the posts.
