Anyone else out there had enough rain After a deluge of rain the last 24hrs
and the 50* temps. I'm wondering "is this it?"................. where's a man got
to go to get a decent winter with solid "ICE"

I have plenty of really good ice, at least for the next 3 to 3 1/2 months any way.

I was going to go out last weekend but was sick.  
The week before was my first trip this year and I did ok, but ended up doing more sledding than fishing.
Things are starting to pick up around here now that the days are getting longer.  
March and April are the big months as the days are long, sunny and relatively warm (in an arctic kind of way.  ). I have TGF coming up to visit at the end of march and we will be spending a couple of weeks chasing giant lakers and camping out. Watch for my report in the NWT forum.

I was down in your neck of the woods over Christmas.
Did a little steelheading at the Elk.

I fished in the rain yesterday 8-3 here in MI w/ the lake to myself! The ice seems to be holding up pretty well still.



No worries, lots of fishing left

What do you mean? Yesterday was great! No fair weather fisherman. Acctually non at all! Had the lakes to myself. But the bite was tuff.

weather here in pa is gong to get cold after tonight.  Lakes around are looking rough, but as of this past Saturday their was a good 7" here.  I am going to try it tomorrow morning........hoping for the best!

Yeah, all the snow melted but the ice was still in good condition and it's making ice now. Just made for easy walking and dragging the get sled.

yup had enough here in western mass, they said we got 2", could have been worse, 2 ' of snow, it will get cold again toward the mid to end of the week. Then back out I go, Maybe I'll take a look on Wednesday, down to one car tomorrow.
