kdcon and pheonix if you look at my other post on this matter i gave solid advice on what to do
it also appears to me that the owner hasnt asked for help ???
and trucker was in a different situation he didnt neglect his shack /lake
just  the way i see it ymmv
NEGLECT is the Key Word here.....I also give NO sympathy to someone that doesn't take care of there shack!!!

Mine went to the bottom a week ago in 13 inches of water on the beach, Im glad I pushed it in when I did.

It was high and dry 18 hours earlier, but the rain destroyed the beach. (launch)

Being able to have an ice shack out is a privilege and also a responsibility. I gladly would have helped him a week ago but it is way too late now. Apparently the responsibility was too much for him. I went out and got BOTH of my shacks in on shore, its just what you do when you put shacks out. Its a job in itself. Like MDH said no sympathy here.

Thank You. My questions have been answered. It sure seems like " skippy " is not very responsible.  Yes, putting a shack out is a big responsibility that should not be taken lightly.  One thing to get caught w/ your pants down but quite another to not care if your pants are down.  That bout of weather last week sure got a lot of us scrambling, a least we scrambled.  Now I can watch the skippy circus and enjoy the show  ;D ;D  kdcon

Well I don't know what others would have done, but last week I went and hauled mine off a small pond where I had it. There was one other left on the deteriorating ice with an address on it from a fella more than 50 miles away. After I got mine off I went back and hauled his/hers up on shore. Don't know if he's gonna' be upset with me about doing so but I haven't got any nasty  messages from him yet ;D

KS, good job.  Mine is ready to hook up and roll.  Only 1.5 miles out on lake thru 18"++ 0f snow & slush.  Love a challenge  ( pic taken before the snow ) ;D
Question, do you winch your shacks up onto the trailer ??  kdcon

Hey I think I know you.Kurt I believe? Met you years ago when FastFred and Joe worked for you. Where abouts is your shack ,18 in. of snow it must be in a colder area than southern Me. You must still have plenty of ice up there to finish off the season?

For my 8x8 instead of a winch I just empty everything out and tip it up on its back edge of the runners and back the trailer under it, then drop it on.....a lot easier and faster then a winch...just my 2 cents... 8)
