Shack through ice on Kennebunk Pond (still floatin)

 How deep is the water where his shack is ?  GPS marker may save someone a lower unit.  Do you think Skippy knows that his shack with just being full of water weighs in at  12,500 Lbs.+/_ ? That's not including the shack itself or the trailer.  I'm sure he has done the math.    kdcon

He's close to 35 ft. of water there. Should be plenty. If it dont sink it will make a nice ski jump.

where on the pond is it?  I drive by the pond every day and I'm not sure where it is.  I live right by the pond and I would like to check it out.

Down past the island, if your at the beach its just around the corner to the right,hard to see from there.

I think there is an association at Kennebunk and if there is I can assure you they have been talking about the ice fisherman and their mess on the pond.As to the Skips where abouts haven't seen hide nor hair of him down there.

Thats really not where I thought it was...
 It's like 12' right there...right to the side of where the rocks come out to a point...
Maybe thats why it's still floating...It's resting on bottom.

Opening our camp this year was a bit unusual -- we found an extra "building" added to our beach.  We never quite know what we'll find in the spring, but this was totally unexpected.  After seeing the pictures posted here, we were amazed to see how far the shanty traveled.   After several previous attempts, the owner showed up Sunday morning to finally remove it.
 
So that's the end of the saga regarding the floating shanty on Kennebunk Pond...

I took a slow ride down pines drive on friday to see if I could spot it and I couldn't.  Guess I won't be able to any more.  KPondHeaven I live less than 1/2 mile from the pond we should go fishing some time.
