The scud and I will be at sargents on the 16th if the ice holds up!!!! And i'll bring some friends!! I really wanted to make that bare hill event but, this event has been good to me the last couple of years so, i'm not jumping ship now!! An IS gathering is definitly in the forecast for me soon!!

Fished Bare Hill yesterday (2/3)
We had 20 tilts out. Slow but steady. Loads of perch and a dozen bass- one 5 one 3.5 (pictured below).
The ice was a foot thick, but it was open along the shore at the parking area.
The ice should survive the warm temps. and rain this week- but you may need a plank to get on the ice.

BTW...following saturday is rain (no ice) date....

post note: no rain date as JPS is following saturday and i am committed to it....of course, bare hill could go on with out me as Lenz could be the hose but lets hope for good weather and ice

I looked at the 10 day forcast and it looks like it is supposed to start getting colder.

some one had a quad last year, will it be here again?

the walk out to the island left of the beach is a bit farther than where we were last year. (about 15-20 min dragging a sled)

damn this is the only drawback to working weekends ....ya have the ponds to yourself during the week but ya miss the fun on weekends...maybe next year I'll take some vacation time ...have fun and good luck I 'll wait for the reports $:-\$

just been out once and I try ed them and we didn't have any flags so when the ice gods smile

and give us a little more ice I will be using them I think they will be replacing my tip-up.I just got a little heaver rod some 15lbs power pro line and some wire
