Always try to be friendly to everyone I meet on the ice.

We met a few guys last month on a small pond, that were total A-Holes!

I'm sorry they had to be so rude, not knowing that we were good guys and would have had a good time hanging out.

So as for being nice to all,,, Yes I will,,, as long as they are nice to us!!!
If fishing was work I'd never be sick!

One thing that I have noticed is that the folks who ice fish are friendlier then the folks who fish during the summer.
Take a kid ice fishing

Most you meet are very nice and I have become friendly with people from all over that fish the same body of water that I do.

Than agian...you sometimes have other's that don't get the whole "fisherman's etiquette" rule. You know the type that places a trap 20 feet away from yours when there is plenty of room on the lake >:(

Be respectful of your neighbors....I always space my tilts at least as far as I would space my own.

I can't say I totally disagree with that

That reminds me a of a day a week ago when Fishinggeek and I went fishing at Baddacook. We walked over to a group of guys that were fishing and struck up a conversation. Great guys and then gave us a few sirloin burgers! We talked all day until they left. A little later I walked up to a group of two guys to saw hi and they wold even give us the time of day. Rude people. Amazing the two different extremes we found that day. I try to be like the first group of guys we talked to...

I am the kind of guy that can get along with anyone. Come fish with me, eat our food and pull up a chair.

It just stinks when people are not nice. Be nice to everyone, life is short!
