When you are jigging
and using a gill pill how much
weight do you put on the line
split shot or what ever else

i never have used any type of weight.  i am only fishing about 4 ft of water for my panfish, so maybe that's why, but from what I have read, adding weight to the line will really decrease the action of the jig and turn the fish off. i have also heard that bluegills love to come up and hit the split shot instead of the jig.  all things to consider.

Somtimes I use a swivel and that usually gives it the extra weight I need.  If using only one rod, sometimes I tie a second lure on it, mostly to use as an added weight.  Nothing else for finicky fish, you'll want to concentrate on you jigging technique and get the most sensitivity for it.
