Anybody carry gas auger on a receiver bike rake?

I think it'll work if I can rig some clearance  at bottom. 4 inches ain't enuff.

Otherwise I guess its buy a luggage carrier.

I saw a guy this weekend with something rigged up to carry his auger in the receiver....looked really practical as on an SUV for hole hopping...but it looked like you want the whole thing to be very solid.  His was bouncing back and forth a bit more than I would like to see.
