Fish Trap Yukon Questions

I just got a yukon and was wondering about the runners they sell. Can anyone tell me if the runners run around the curve of both ends of the sled? As I am thinking about pulling it from one end with an atv and some times with the rope from the other end.

Also have anyone not screwed the canvas and rubber strip to the sled? The rubber strip seems to be pretty tight. I wouldn't want it to come off on the lake, but I am afraid the wind will make screw holes in the canvas tear.

The runners they sell do wrap around the curved part of the sled both ends.

However they wear quickly!!!

I ended up putting a pair of downhill skis on mine. If I was doing it again I would use the Skis from the start.


As for the Screws and strip I did use them and NO problem and I have been out in some VERY windy conditions!!!

Use the screws with the strip for the canvas...I've been out in some nasty wind with now problems though I al pretty sure under those same conditions the fabric would pull out without the screws and you would be in for an interesting time !!  jmop
