If your looking for a flip over style...theres alot of models in the 3 to 400 range...but under 300 gets tough unless you buy used.  The Frabill Trekker is 349 retail and I have seen them as low as $319.  Its light but still made well.

If you are interested in a cabin style hub design, your options just tripled.  Although, by the time you buy a sled and seats, your really not ahead.

My Son "Whatpole" has one of these. He has the 6X8 and it`s big enough to set a cot in with a bigbuddy heater for an overnighter.Works Great and setup is easy.

But a 6x8 is 115 lbs who wants to drag that around plus your gear your looking at around 130 to 140 lbs your pulling plus treading thru snow. try the smaller fish traps

I have never weighed the shanty but would guess it would come in around 60# or so.It can also handle 4 guys fishing and still have room for the heater,ETC. ;D

I don't really care if it's a cabin or a flip over.  I already have a Jet Sled that I have "tweaked to accommodate me.  What do you all prefer?

The Eastman Ice Cube is certainly worth checking out if you've already got a sled.

I would either look at the Fish Trap Guide.  They are usually around 349 but if you do some searching you can usually find them at 299.

Or I would look at the new Clam Base Camp.  At 199 comfortably fits 2-4 fisherman and is super easy to setup and transport.

I was actually thinking about the Clam 2000.  Those of you that have used it, how is it?  Is it durable?  It's very windy where I live.  Also, I have a sled I don't want to part with.  Can the Clam go with it?

I have a Eskimo Quick Fish 3 and I am quite pleased.  I too pull my gear on a sled and this fits well as it is no longer than my auger.  I believe this would fit into your price range and work for what you want.  All of the manufacturers Frabil, Eastman, Clam, etc., are making something similar to this now.  I have an Eskimo as this is what my local retailer stocks.

It is a 3 an and I'm 6'4" and i can stand in it with out a problem.
It is like the command post or quickfish type .it has no floor.
4 removeable and closeable windows with vents.
it comes with 8 anchor screws and a carry bag 18lbs.
setup time couple minutes.
for the money I'm impressed so far

fish trap pro is the perfect shanty its a little bigger than the scout allowing room for all the gear and is reasonable price. the otters are nice but have to purchase piece by piece
