I was wondering if someone could give some advice on cleaning the brass rings on a Hondex Fl-8. The directions for a vexilar FL-8 tell me to run the disc and put emery cloth on the rings to clean them, however the Hondex has two screws for a counter balance that block the way to clean the rings. I was wondering if I can remove the screws temporarily to clean the rings without hurting the unit or is there another trick?
