Berkley Prolite Rods.
« on: Nov 25, 2008, 05:20 PM »
Does anyone have any experience with the Berkley Lightning ProLite rods 27" Light action?  It appears to be a quality rod with 5 guides.  Need to buy some buddies Christmas presents and found a couple new ones for sale.

If they are the rods with the flat plastic on the underside of the handle, I have one. Its a 26" M. I believe the blanks are the same as the older Berkley Genz rods, which were superb rods. The rods is built well and should last many seasons.

I use them and like them. They have givin me no reason to go looking at others. And at $10 a pop you can't complain.

I don't own one of the prolite rods but for open water I have their 'Cherrywood' model and its my favorite pole I've ever owned.

From my experience, I give Berkley rods the thumbs up.
