Show Hours:

Friday: 1pm – 9pm
Saturday: 10am – 7pm
Sunday: 10am – 5pm

Ticket Prices:

Adults: $8
Children 6-12: $4
Children 5 & Under: Free

I pass by your machine on White Bear Avenue quite often. My daughter goes to St. Peter's. My son will next year. I will stop by.

I might have to pick up a hat or shirt from Ice Shanty before the show.

Traveling there all the way from Grand Forks, ND! Printed the coupons off last night. Can't wait! I have a list of things I'm going to look for (and hopefully will find a lot of things not on the list). Hope to see some of you guys there!

Wish I could reccommend but I never stay in a hotel in the Twin Cities.

Be better off staying outside of town. Owatonna, Monticello. I see you are from ND, Owatonna might be outta your way, but there is a Cabelas there and hotels I bet aren't too bad. There is a Cabelas on your way in Rogers, but Rogers is growing up into almost a suburb, and I think hotels are steep there. I stayed in a hot tub suite once next to Cabelas in Owatonna for $20 a night, but my exs uncle worked at the hotel

You could try Maple Grove. Right off of 94. Only about half hour to the cities from there. That's right near where I grew up...kinda my old stomping grounds

The Roseville Radisson is a nice place to stay, and it is just outside of St Paul on CR C an 35W. Axels Charhouse is right out front and has awsome chow. If the Raddison is a bit more than you want to spend, there is a cheaper option one block north. I think it is a motel 6 or a days in or something.

Just how big is the show, & do they have any good deals on stuff? I've always wanted to head up there one of these times, & my wife has a friend that lives there, so it would not just be a trip for myself

(not this year, wife due in Jan). Is it worth it to go, or will I be in & out of the show in an hour or 2?

It is the largest ice fishing show in the United States. If you are looking for a bigger show, you wont find one. I guess if you planned on making a whole day out of it, there is plenty else to do in St. Paul too. The Science Museum is right across the street from the convention center, and they have a Vatican Art exhibit right up the street. The St. Paul Cathedral is only a few blocks away, and it is definitely worth a look.

Mickeys diner is only a few blocks away too!

There are deals to be had if you look for them. The vendors are sometimes open to a bit of haggling depending on the vendor and the item.

It is a great show to see products side by side. Strikemaster and Jiffy usually have booths. Marcum and Vexilar as well. Nice to be able to talk to manufacturers reps and be able to ask questions face to face.

Hey, I have not chatted with you guys since last winter! I hope you all have been happy and healthy! Me and my son will definitely be at the show, its an annual event for us. Skipper, would be happy to stop by the Ice Shanty booth to say hello. I need to get a new power auger this year, otherwise pretty well set.

This is my first ice season in Minnesota and if I'm going to be this close to the show, I better get there. I got some free hotel nights left so maybe I will make a weekend out of it. I was thinking about buying a new set of tip-ups this year. Im still using the ones my grandpa gave me years ago. It would be nice to see the different models side by side to help me make the choice of which ones I want to invest in.

Just found out a few days ago il be att. A ice fishing show in east grand forks mn so i hope to see you all at the gathering this year ! Looks like il be moving back as soon as the harvest is over with.
