juigging for trout

hey fellas-   i jig lakers and have great success. i am fishing rainbows now on the hard stuff and have not had one take a crack at me. i have been jigging pimples and crippled herrings. what do i have to use to make them nail me?

i have pretty good luck with plain old crappie minnows and a small trebile hook

I deadstick with demons or Caty jigs tipped with waxworms, shallow water. Works good for me.

DD, Try jigging the smallest size cicada tipped with maggots. It accounted for about 20 rainbow one day. It was the gold color but I'm not sure it would make that much difference.

I jig 2" tubes with a plain jig head inserted about 3/4 way
into the tube. White and white/blue colors work best for me.
