Prices vary from $40 - $50 plus shipping, includes charger.
Google "Vexilar Battery" and you will get hundreds of hits. I recommend the 9ah battery, as it will last longer than the 7ah battery, and has the better charger/maintainer.

You might want to check your local sporting goods store. The local store has a brand new battery and charger for about $30. I would ask around.

I get mine from the emergency lights here at work. They routinely get replaced every two years and have never been used except for a yearly push of the button to ensure the lights come on.

I do the same as scavengerj, have 3 or 4 spares now. Use them to run the lights, tv and radio in the tent.

If you have an American Science Surplus Store, I found them for $10.00.

Run to a local hardware/fishing store. They always have them next to the vexilars and they are usually $20 or less. Most of what I see are Zeus brand. I probably wouldn't bother buying on online because you might end up paying more after shipping.

yup...emergency lights. Free supply as the contractor must pay for disposal of perfectly good batteries

I have used and still use atv/lawn mower batteries. They work just as good or even better, not heavier, last longer one bad point is they are not sealed so there is a potential for a leak & they will freeze if left outside for long peroids.
