I am enjoying the fact that my furnace isn't running with oil prices the way they are, but I had a couple wasps flying around my head today and few black flies & mosquitoes showing up this evening...... ::) That's one thing I really like about the winter months - no bugs.

I had a blast this last season, the new sled made all the difference........this was only a month and a half ago...

Every trip out was a good one. I'm glad we have myfishfinder but it doesn't get the same chatter as this site.
I'll enjoy the warm months because that's whats ahead, but I'll be looking forward to that first snow flake all summer long.

This thread is starting awfully early this year!  That's okay.  I am still checking in...
Post some more pics Out4trout!  I was contemplating heading north this weekend to
"summerize" my sleds.  On second thought....I'll wait another week.

Its still up here!   went to look at a place I frequent for my bait and dipping a worm or 2   still 1 1/2 ft of ice on it   and only a 10' open spot near the culvert

I was wondering where they grew those jiffy augers, now I see the garden at the right of the picture.

Looks like a good one. I bought a Frabill ultra lite at Marden's for $45.00, good for one man and quick moving around hunting.

I paid $75.00 for it, I also have 2 older 4 person Clam's as well as a Clam Sleeper. Won't trade my sleeper for anything but at times it was more then I needed. Might sell my older clams, so it doesn't look like i'm starting condo units out on the ice lol

Very nice looking sled for your Clam, Coach.  Looks like you cut a toboggan for the skis, and used PVC (?) for the frame, and purchased a hitch?  More pictures and details please.  I think Pegasus would be interested.  He's working on a new sled for his Clam.

Thanks I will go take some pictures and post them for you. I did cut down 2 8' toboggans and I used Speed Rail, which you can buy at any Fence company. Got the hitch from Beans, it's the same one you would use for a jet sled.

I noticed that too Bill. I have an old toboggan that my parents bought me when I was 16. It cost $16.95 and it's a 6 foot maple toboggan, still has the price writtern on the front curve. I wouldn't have the heart to cut it up now, I've had it for 40 years.

After this winter with all the snow and the state and towns crying no money in the snow plowing, road repairing and high gas prices, probadly next year I'll have to hook Hector up to the toboggan just for transportation.  :D

Wow, thanks, Coach.  Nice sled.  I didn't realize it was so long.
I found the Speed rail parts on-line without a problem, but am wondering what type of tubing you used.
Very nice idea on using an old toboggan.
Thanks again,
MD
