If it was like it was 15 years ago I would make the time to go, but the way it has been the last few years it hasn't been all that to good compared to the good ole days. It seem to me the guides have taken the place over. Just not as good as it used to be. My 2 cents.

Used to love and go and visit w/ the Maine sporting camp people but last year virtually all the exhibitors were from New York or Quebec... thanks Harry :(

I think the show circut overall has changed.  They are really quite expensive for the sporting camp/guides, etc.  Unless you are selling a product on site like snowshoes or boats for example, it's almost impossible to make any money.  I don't do any shows in Maine anymore just because Mainers know what they want and how to find it.  And for out of state shows I'll drop $2,000 on a show.  You have to book a lot of stuff to make up that money and it almost never happens.

I'll be going a couple of hours before the end of the show Sunday, have to help take down one of the booths.
I agree it's not what it used to be, but still fun to go.

Used to go but it seems to have gotten less and less interesting every year.  Haven't made it for a couple years now.

The show has too many non-sports commercial items there now. They want to sell you everything from wiping cloths to certain electronic gadgets.

I hate to pay a fee to have someone try to sell me their product. You go to a boat show to buy a boat and you have to pay to see what you're buying! Before you know it you'll have to pay to look at a new vehicle.

At the show they can write off the expenses from the table rentals instead of passing them on to us.

Everything we do now someone is picking our pockets!
