Anglers who wish to pre-purchase their Freshwater Fishing Licences for the upcoming 2008/2009 season, may do so now through March 31st, 2008.

Sometimes I wish I lived in Alberta but I guess we have to pay because we have better fishing oppurtunities or a poorer government ???

I was hoping they would change to the WIN card like Alberta. No more paper licenses and fits into your wallet.

Gee maybe I'm doing something wrong because I buy a lisence in Alberta every year and they ask me for my WIN #. WIN cards are good for 5 years but you still gotta purchase your paper lisence was my understanding?

My mistake TGF.I forgot that you need to get a license on top of your Win card.It would probably help if I got there more often. How does the cost compare to BC?

Peanuts when compared to BC....I think it was close to 20$ and that is for everyone in Canada for an annual one.

Just checked and it went up to $25.66 plus GST for year for Canadians.

BC is definitely more costly but many fishing opportunities. ABout 40 for the regular year +10 for steelhead or something +15 or something for classified waters + another 20 or something for tidal waters. Did i miss anything? I think it totals nearly 100 bucks just in licences here for the year.

But I wouldn't miss a season for the best burger in town ;)
