I fished Newlan Reservoir near White Sulphur Springs last Sunday, the ice seemed to be in pretty good shape.  It was covered by a half foot of snow w/ a few drifts, 20" of ice where I was fishing in just about the middle of the reservoir.  Fishing was pretty slow, caught 2 small ling and 2 nice trout.
