Bass Lake
« on: Mar 02, 2008, 10:52 AM »
I had the chance to meet some of our group on ice shanty members last night. It was a nice get to see some of the people from our site. Thanks again coondog59 for the tow out to the spot, It was like having a guide service. Crappie rob was there also and  discofro2 and abishop. I only managed to get 2 flags 1 -12" smallmouth and 1 -12" largemouth, and 2 crappies. 3pm until 9pm I did see some walleyes were caught.  It was a beautiful night to be out on the ice. (no wind) Again it was nice to meet all you guys.. I Hope we can all hook up for another outing.    Mark

Caught my first walleye and ate it up!  Nice to meet all you guys and thanks for helping me get on the fish. The walleye of course was cool but so was the double white bass catch.

Lets do it again soon.

 abishop,
I was thinking of driving up tommorrow morning from Monticello to meet you guys.  My question is are you guys just walleye fishing or are you around some gills also.  Love to catch walleye but don't really think I have the right stuff to do it.  Maybe I do and just don't know it.  Anyways hope to ear back because I have a real itch to get on some ice tommorrow.

Guys I was out the night before Al, and we had about 2 inches of snow, the top was way smoother, still 7 1/2 to 8 inces of ice, I'd tell you what I caught, but then I'd have to kill you.(lol), let's just say conditions were alot more prevalent for walleyes to bite. Cya later ,Coondog
