Long & Round Lakes - 3/1/2008
« on: Mar 02, 2008, 08:38 AM »
Yesterday morning I headed out to Chain of Lakes State Park to fish Long. I didn't mark very many fish, and when I did it was difficult to get a jig down to them fast enough before they moved on. At the end of the morning I had 8 keepers. In the afternoon I went to the Tri Lakes in Whitley County to fish Round. I marked several, but they were very inactive. I was able to add 9 more to my sack, bringing the final tally to 13 bluegills, 2 crappies, 1 perch, and 1 warmouth. I didn't see anyone else doing much of anything at either of the lakes, and both still had ~10" of ice with another 2" of slush on top.
Catching the lunkers of tomorrow today!
