im haveing a real hard time on these pesky trout i study maps and put alot of time on the ice but cant seem to catch any!!!
ANY suggestions??? :(

put mono filiment leaders on your tip ups with size 10 treble hooks. Fish 1-10 feet below the ice using shiners, smelt, or icicles.

fish super shallow, use red or orange or pink lures, any will do, sweedish pimples, fake ants, you name it, anything in those colors tipped with maggots or a worm.  Go catch em all so they stop eating the poor perch, those are for me to eat.  ;D

An Ice Fisherman is a man who spends cold days sitting on the ice doing nothing because his wife won't let him do it at home.

use a 3 ft. floro or mono leader in 4# test, and #10 treble hook with a bb splitshot 18" up from the hook. fish it just below the ice.( my swivel, between dacron and leader, sits at the bottom of the ice. you can also try different depths. mix it up.
