Musky action
« on: Feb 28, 2008, 03:39 AM »
I was in my gill spot yanking them up last week and I caught someones attention.  I watched all the gills swarm into the crib for protection knowing something come in I turned the cam and it was right there eyein up my jig.  He stayed hovering on the crib for over 20 minutes just taking laps.

The musky didn't hit my rapala as can be seen I have a size 12 Optic jig down there thats really hard to see that he hits.  I was using my noodle rod for gills with 110 yds of 2lb,  He stripped 80 of my 110 yds off during the fight.  I thought I was gonna break my first Ice rod on a fish, turns out the line went first.
Any guesses on the weight or length of this fish.  50"ers are not uncommon out of this lake.  The crib is 8' by 12' I believe, and the camera is 5-6 ft away.
