Possible solution to spring bobber's?? L@@K
« on: Feb 27, 2008, 05:53 PM »
i have never been one to use a spring bobber much because it always freezes... i made this today which cost 60 cents. Im going to paint the end orange to be able to see it better and hoping that it will coat the inside of the circle to prevent wear on the line. made out of a spring from the hardware store and a 14-16AWG terminal ring. let me know what you guys think...(sorry if the pics don't work i always screw this part up)

They look like the spring from a ball point pen. I have had to use them before due to a malfunction and they worked fine.

When you post the pic it should looks like this

http://www.myfishingpictures.com/data/500/thumbs/Picture_0071.jpg

change it to:
http://www.myfishingpictures.com/data/500/medium/Picture_0071.jpg

Be sure to add [/img] on the front and back and it doesn't need to be bold.... hope this helps.  I'm pretty new to posting pics as well but that was the jist of the advice I got!

Very neat and clean looking. I'd say this would be a bible worthy contribution. An epoxy type paint ought to keep that terminal edge from doing any damage to even the lightest lines.

If you're a fella , Ask your wife/girlfriend/sister/mom etc. if you can have some of their nailpolish, in stead of paint. Or just go buy some. It works as well or better than paint. Good for rod repairs & in a pinch can be used as Locktight. Lots of uses other than on fingernails. I've even used it(orange or red) to put on the front blade sight tip on my rifles/shotguns/pistols, for low light target acquisition. :)
Worth a try , lasts a long time....

yeah that's a great idea ill go do it now... it even works to patch subwoofers if you ever have weak spot or hole in one... idk i just bought the spring bc it could fit that round terminal in it to avoid freezing. that was my whole plan not just find a spring that work but to find two things i could make into a spring and a larger eye...(i looked on the ground: no lighter just a lot of snow)
