I caught this umm pickerel in Goose Pond (Lee, MA). Anyone else see anything like this before?

It looks like something has happened to his upper lip maybe when he was younger. He looks like a chub sucker. I would send a picture of it to a biologist just to see what they say. I hope you did not eat it your teeth may fall out. LOL

i think probably the egg hit a rock too hard, or it was dropped as a baby, maybe fed lead paint chips? wierd looking thing

i caught a northern that kind of looked like that but it was missing most of top jaw i think when it was small it could have had a hook tore out of its mouth when it was much smalland it never healed right.But who knows
