HOW IS THE BEST WAY TO HOOK A MINNOW TO THE HOOK ?
LOWER LIP, BACK,

I like to hook them though the back just below the dorsal fin. Seems like they stay alive a lot longer. But I also know people that swear by hooking them through the lips saying it gives the minnow more tail movement. I dont think it really matters. Ive caught fish both ways. Its more personal oppinion than anything else. Try them both !!

I have had the best success with Crappie hooking the minnow thru the tail and letting it flicker in the downward position....Crappie feed upward and it seems to trigger a more aggressive bite.

Argreed.  Plus. tiny dink perch dont seem to strip the as easy....
