Has anyone used a gutted out camper or built a shanty on a pop up trailer frame?

I've seen a few. If you can make the wheels able to raise and lower it would be a lot better. There is a way. Saw it posted here before. ;D

Hey I have I had a 73 starcraft 10' made the sides out of plywood and added windows it was on Moosehead all last winter. It worked great just a little heavy!!

Most of those are made so the hitch raises which raises the wheels off the ground and sets the shack on the ice. It's an awesome set up when your moving around a lot too. I wish I could remember how the guy built the one I had when I lived in Wisc.

I think you find units like that in the Dakotas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. You may want to ask the same question in their designated forum.
