Wildeye by Storm

Did anybody try a new Wildeye jig by Storm? It is sort of soft
plastic version of jigging Rapala.

Tried them impatiently a couple times.........haven't given them a chance  to catch fish really but they have great action. I bought two different sizes..........will hopefully be able to use them again this weekend.

The ones I have are pretty natural looking but do have a little bit of flash.
They are pretty much black/grey with some flash underneath. Great action though......the tail is awesome.

They work great in open water for bass, stripers, and walleye,  but I 've never tried them on the ice. ???

To pot-belly-perch: There are two different types of Wildeyes.
One type is pretty much a regular jig with a plastic body, and
it is indeed for open water. Another one also has a plastic body,
but it is a balanced jig hanging horizontally, plus it has a treble in
the middle. Unlike jigging Rapala it does not move in circles but
has a strong movement of its tail. I tried it last Sunday without
any impressive result. It did catch some perch, but so did my
trusty Rapala. Though it proves nothing. I'll keep trying. By its
look the lure has a great potential.
