Hey fellow membersI need some atv help?
« on: Feb 21, 2008, 09:41 AM »
Last night while trying to get my 98 honda 300 fourtrax ready for the kids to use this weekend, I found that the back brakes had been destroyed. The drum has totaly desinigrated and the shoes and drum cover was ruined. This was caused by water getting into the drum area and freezing and thawing breaking things down. I am trying to find a used drum for this because the new ones are around $150.00 and take a while to get. Does anyone know of a cycle salvage yard that would have this? T

Thank you to all my fellow Veterans

Well, its a bit far for you, but Holmes Cycle Salvage in Milford might have something. They are on Route 2 about 5 miles outside of Old Town headed north on your left hand side. I don't happen to have their number but its worth a shot. They usually mess with sleds, motorcycles, dirtbikes and ATV's. Been a long time since I was there though.
