stopped by on way to work this am. was able to walk right on, a little cracking. ( heavier folks may pop through)about an inch of sleet/ice an inch or so of water then ice. i went out towards the island about 700' and it was the same.

my brother says wind will be fierce in the morning, the ice is like glass so anything not tied down will blow around.

set-up on south east side of island to left of beach out in front of docks. that should keep home base out of wind.

east side of island goes from shore to about 7 maybe 8 feet of water. the south side goes a little deeper, 9 or maybe 10' in some spots. not much weeds anywhere.

ice cleats are a must unless u have skates..buwah.

parking will be tight..lot wasn't really opened up by plows. good for 12 trucks, car pool if u can

Sounds good Lenz.  I would imagine that with the real cold coming in, it will lock up even more solid but like you said, DONT FORGET THE CREEPERS

good to hear...are planks going to be present?, im not exactly a small guy and really dont feel like taking a polar plunge....according to my weather service, wind speeds will be at an average of 6-8 mph....going to get below freezing by 9 tonight and not going to climb back out of it until sunday afternoon, so that should take care of some of the water...

i didn't need a plank, (some d**k stole the one i left yestaerday) it should be solid by sat am.
even if u went though at beach edge , the water is only 3" deep (if that) due to drawdown.

500' feet out towards island it is only 2'

just checked it myself, was in the area. looked good but real slippery. heaver stuff may break threw. good luck guys. i'll be in leister.
