What are your top 3 crappie jigs?

pink teardrop,red rocker,orange/white glow teardrop.its hard to pick 3 when i have thousands of jigs.

Ratso head and a red and white tube! No bait most of the time. Iv'e caught them on 3 diff lures at the same time though. Deeper water I have been usung a 2" swedish pimple body with 6" of line and a ratso, Or a small gold Kastmaster. Always start with the red/white jig!

what brand tube and size do you prefer?

-Several horizontal micro jigs in techni-glo red or pink/pearl preferably 1/64

-Swedish pimple 1/12

cool. thanks i use the little joe minnows open water and have had good success, will have to give the little joe a shot.

#10 Diamond Jig in glow red or white at night with a Little Atom glow nuggie. Gold or Nickle #10 Diamond Jig with a white wedgee has done fine this season.

I like most of the jigs mentioned, all work well... but last year somebody turned me on to something that I thought would never work, now its my first "go-to" and you want to talk about "out of the box"... Its a swim-bait paddled and all... we got them at Wal-mart of all places, they were 1-1/4, in clear and black, clear and blue (the best one) and perch color, and I think Creme lure company made them. The hook eye is set on top of the jig, so the jig sits horizontal (which for me is big), and we gave them three hard rips to work the paddle-tail then let it sit for 5 seconds and BAM! No bait, and out fished all other baits just about every time. Only bad thing is that Wal-mart stop carrying them...

Just found them online... they are called the "spoiler shad" the three at the bottom of their website is the ones I was talking about... just put in an order in

I relly like the Size 12 CJ&S stinger spoons. I remove the treble and put on a light wire super sharp single hook and load it with spikes or waxies. Marmooska type jigs are also one of my favorites.

I really have good success with different Marmooska's which I got off this site. I usally tip them witha power bait maggot or something. Teh light line and light jig can be tough going if fishing in the open. The Carppie seem to love them. I must admit the big crappie are few and far between. Maybe because I am using such a small bait.
