were is the walleyes on up state new york hard water

I know this year for upstate ny was not the greatest year for ice. It makes it hard to find the walleyes. just wondering if anyone had any ideas.

we caught walleyes this year in chaumont, sandy pond, and oneida lake. this weekend its going to be north bay? my freezer hopes so!

I too vote for the dead sea.  (Great Sacandaga Lake) I've caught 3 limits and two days with over 3 fish this year.  All seemed to be very healthy fish (17-21 inch range).  Go by some of the local bait shops and ask these guys for locations and they can help.  Specifically Dave over at Dave's Bait is usually a good source of information 518.863.8318 is his number.  Shop is on Bunker Hill Rd.

We caught a lot of nice perch at chaumont but couldn't get in the walleyes. We were only in about 17'-20' of water. We thaught we had to go out deeper. I also herd about sandy pond. I live right down the road from there and only got out there once. I am hoping this weekend I can get out there. thank you for your information.

walleye are not to hard to find try nystate game /fish website
look at the 10 best places for ice fishing in NY ;)

oneida number walleye water in state may not be the biggest but 18to 20 in is common
