Splake?

Any good tips for fishing splake on hardwater? I would be using a tip-up and need to know what baits, how deep, how far off the bottom, etc..

Well we fish em with Live Minnows here
but a big crawler or a bunch of worms will work I prefer live minnows
we fish em just like we do landlocked salmon 1-8' under the ice. Were fishing a lake that's 30 feet deep


they've been known to take near the bottom hittin pimples

but i prefer up around the ice for them
