vexilar type battery
« on: Jan 26, 2008, 04:00 PM »
Just bought a new battery for second hand flasher that is on it's way within the next week.  Anyway, could somebody with a 12V 7 amp hour vexilar type battery check with voltage meter and see what it reads a) on the terminals and b) the charger clips

The reason I ask is that I've had the charger on for over 12 culmulative hours and the battery is reading .9 volts on 20 volt scale.  Charger clips are reading .02 or .04.  What am I missing?

I've been checking like every 2 hours and it is not going any higher than .93 volts.  Seems really screwed up when on the same settings a AAA battery reads 1.6 volts.

Please help!

Later,
Lance

Sounds like it most likely is....most chargers provide a slightly higher voltage than the battery is rated for as a 12 volt battery is mnore often then not a 13 and change volt battery
