Good Start to the season!

I checked Pontoosuc today and it's holding up pretty good, The shores are a little soft but the ice is still about 8-10" of good ice. Might need a plank to get out off shore.

I went down that way today could not see the lake good to see if anyone was out there. The fog was to thick.
I may have to cave in and fish there this weekend. Tomorrow I am off to Connecticut to the Taxidermist with her. Maybe Sunday.

Check again my friend.  You definitely need a plank.  And I really don't think there's 8-10 inches.  Sorry but I just don't take chances and don't want others to either.  You better put an inner tube around your waist and hope you don't find a soft spot.  Checked Onota also see post under ice reports.
